Installation of temporary traffic signals at Jane St and Finch Ave. W.

What: A crew will continue installing temporary traffic signals to make space for the construction of future stops and guideway on the Finch West LRT. Once the new temporary traffic signals are installed, the existing signals will be removed.

The next temporary traffic signals will be installed at:

  • Jane St. and Finch Ave. W intersection.

Hours of Work:

  • Work is expected to start in late-March 2020, and last for approximately three weeks.
  • Work will occur Monday to Friday between 8 AM and 4 PM. However, lane closures will occur only during off-peak hours (between 9 AM and 3 PM).
  • Work may be delayed due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect:

  • A crew will install temporary traffic signals and remove existing ones.
  • Short-term lane closures on Finch Ave. W. and Jane St. as well as at the intersection.
  • Heavy trucks and equipment will be active in the area.
  • Please take care when travelling near work sites.

Traffic Impacts:

  • Short-term lane closures on Finch Ave. W. and Jane St. as well as at the intersection.
  • Construction will be accommodated so that bus stops adjacent to the work are not obstructed.
  • A Paid Duty Officer will be available where necessary to support traffic circulation.
  • Access to adjacent businesses and residences will be maintained.
