National Industry Development Manager - MINING

Job Description:

Responsible for the maintenance of a strong relationship with assigned suppliers in the Mining Industry.

  • Maintain effective relationships with assigned suppliers and act as a liaison for Vendor/field relations.
  • Prepare and update an annual industry plan with quarterly reviews on a regional basis.

  • Oversee creation and delivery of press releases, advertisments, and marketing material.

  • Negotiate contracts with vendors to manage product distribution, establish distribution networks and develop distribution strategies.
  • Establish industry needs and set objectives for growth.

  • Make joint sales calls with Sales Representatives and provide technical information to Sales Representatives and customers.

  • Manage and maintain the price book and quotation system.
  • Manage and maintain contract pricing in DCS.
  • Work closely with our Sales Managers to establish pricing standards.

  • Work with Suppliers, Sales Managers, Account Managers and our Purchasing Department regarding mass price changes.

  • Produce reports as required by the Sales Managers.

  • Daily supervision of the operations staff to ensure the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the facility.
  • Apply comunication and motivational techniques in supervising and coaching employees.

Purchasing Supervisor

Job Description:

  • Manage a portfolio of products as well as assist in Inventory Analysis and portfolio reviews.
  • Plan inventory requirements using MRP/DRP software to ensure customer requiremements are met while optimizing capital employed in inventory.
  • Work with the Forecaster to improve capacity planning and scheduling for bulk production.
  • Prepare for and participate in the annual physical inventory.
  • Use a proactive approach to monitor and reduce aged inventory as well as coordinate the movement of freight.
  • Place orders with suppliers ensuring the best combination of quality, cost, supply and delivery.
  • Coordinate with the Forecaster and Sales departments to obtain information on customer requirements and resolve issues and invoice descrepincies.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve product availability, service, quality, claims, and pricing issues as well as perform supplier evaluations.
  • May assist with regulation of price and terms of contract as well as assist in clearance and import of goods.
  • Comply with procedures for transportation of hazardous goods as well as expedite and follow-up on delivery of orders.
